About the challenges:

Supernova Invest is growing fast: more than €820 million under management, new vehicles being raised, a portfolio that keeps expanding across the innovation capital lifecycle. Behind every fund stands a middle office team, five people today, which carries the operational, accounting and reporting backbone of the vehicles. This newly created position strengthens that team and reports to the Chief Financial Officer. It offers a rare vantage point: working at the crossroads of investment, finance, legal and investor relations, immersed in the technologies of tomorrow, in a human-sized company with strong growth.

Description of typical missions:

As Middle Office Officer (M/F), you join the middle office team and report to the Chief Financial Officer. You take part in the operational, financial and reporting life of Supernova Invest’s investment vehicles and portfolio, in close contact with the investment teams, the funds’ service providers and the investors. Your main missions will be to:

• Monitor the portfolio and the funds: operational follow-up of portfolio companies (financing rounds, disposals, valuations, legal matters) and of the vehicles (subscriptions, capital calls, distributions).

• Prepare the accounts of the investment vehicles: preparation of the vehicles’ financial statements and measurement of their performance.

• Manage the relationships with the funds’ service providers: depositaries, fund accountants and auditors of the investment vehicles.

• Maintain the fund steering dashboards: keep the management dashboards of the funds up to date.

• Produce investor reporting: preparation of the reports and follow-up of investor relations.

• Deploy the ESG policy: roll-out of the ESG policy across the vehicles and the portfolio.

• Develop the information system: development and update of the company’s information system.

The goal is not that you have already covered every one of these areas: what matters is a solid grasp of how investment and funds work, acquired in a fund or an audit firm, and the wish to broaden your scope within a growing team.

This role is for you if:

• You are rigorous with numbers and deadlines: fund accounts, valuations, capital calls and distributions leave no room for approximation.

• You understand how funds and investments work: at least four years in an investment fund or an audit firm have given you the fundamentals, and you now want to apply them in-house.

• You like coordinating many counterparts: depositaries, fund accountants, auditors, investment teams and investors, with the same responsiveness for each of them.

• You see data and tools as allies: dashboards, reporting and the company’s information system are things you improve, not just maintain.

• You recognise yourself in a demanding but caring environment, human-sized and growing fast, where progression and potential are valued as much as the path already travelled.

• You are comfortable in French and in English, both written and spoken, and you want to be immersed in the technologies of tomorrow.

Profile: Master’s degree (Bac +5) from a university or a business school; at least 4 years of experience in an investment fund or an audit firm

Languages: French and fluent English

Location: Paris (Saint-Lazare)

Proposed compensation: yearly package from 57 up to 71 K€ + intéressement + benefits
